Terms of Use

Last updated: January 2025

Welcome to Ancient Ways. These Terms of Use govern your visit to the hall and your play of the three games we host. By entering, you agree to the terms below. If you do not, please do not enter.

Who may enter the hall

The hall is open to anyone who can lawfully enter into a binding agreement in their jurisdiction, and to younger visitors accompanied by the consent of a parent or guardian. By using the site, you confirm that one of these applies to you.

Your leave to play

We grant you a personal, non-exclusive, non-transferable, revocable licence to play the three games for your own non-commercial enjoyment. This licence does not transfer any ownership of the games, the site, or the writings and images they contain.

The way of the hall

While inside, you agree not to:

What is ours

The contents of the hall — the three games, their code, artwork, sounds, writings, and the overall design of Ancient Ways — belong to us or to our licensors and are protected by copyright and related rights. Every right not expressly granted in these Terms is reserved.

Anything you offer

Playing the games does not require you to submit content. Any small values generated during play are stored locally on your device, as described in the Privacy Policy. If a specific game offers a way to send feedback, you remain responsible for the content you send and warrant that it does not infringe the rights of others.

The hall may be redrawn

We seek to keep the site in good order but we do not guarantee that it will always be available. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue any part of the site — including any individual game — at any time and without prior notice. We may also revise these Terms; the revised version becomes effective when posted on this page.

As it stands

The site is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. To the fullest extent permitted by applicable law, we disclaim all warranties — including any implied warranty of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, non-infringement, and any warranty that the site will be uninterrupted, secure, or error-free.

Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by applicable law, we will not be liable for any indirect, incidental, consequential, special, or punitive damages, or for any loss of data, revenue, profits, or goodwill, arising from or in connection with your use of the site — even if advised of the possibility of such damages. Nothing in these Terms limits any liability that cannot lawfully be limited.

Paths that lead out of the hall

The site may contain links to third-party websites or resources. We do not control those third parties and are not responsible for their content or practices. Follow those paths at your own discretion.

Closing the hall

We may suspend or terminate your access to the site at any time and for any reason, including breach of these Terms. The provisions of these Terms that by their nature should survive termination — intellectual property, disclaimers, limitation of liability — remain in effect.

Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws applicable to the jurisdiction in which the site is operated, without regard to conflict-of-laws principles. Any dispute is subject to the competent courts of that jurisdiction, unless mandatory local law grants an alternative forum.

The whole agreement

These Terms, together with the Privacy Policy, form the entire agreement between you and us regarding the site and supersede any prior agreements. If any provision is unenforceable, the remaining provisions remain in full effect.
